New Balance UK 35th Anniversary Pack
New Balance are celebrating the 35th anniversary of its UK factory, Flimby with a special edition ‘Flimby 35th Anniversary Pack’. In 1982 New Balance manufactured their first ever ‘Made in UK’ trainer and have been manufacturing footwear in Cumbria ever since. This rather classy collection consists of four ‘Made In UK’ trainers including its much loved 1500, the normcore 991, the vintagesque 770 and rarely used Epic Tr silhouette. All four trainers have been crafted using the finest materials available including premium nubuck and leather in a colour palette of light blue, navy, white and grey. The New Balance ‘Flimby 35th Anniversary Pack’ is launching online now.
The 1500 is one of New Balance’s most striking silhouettes; there’s quite a lot going on but the several overlays to the upper just works. Also for us, this colourway is probably one of the most wearable 1500’s to date.
Aside from the fact this is Larry David’s go-to shoe, what we love most is the fine detailing and overall retro aesthetic. You can’t get any more normcore than the 991.
The 770 is vintage in structure and shape but has been updated for the modern era. This almost fully tonal colourway looks great and we admire this shoe most for its’ sizeable ‘N’ logo embroidered to the side walls.
The Epic Tr silhouette has only been used a handful of times and is based on the “Epic” football boot New Balance used to create back in the day. If you’re after a slightly different, low-profile, white trainer then stop, you’ve found it.

Neighborhood Blowback Incense Chamber
Motorcycle enthusiast Shinsuke Takizawa founded Tokyo based brand Neighborhood in 1994. From the beginning the brand has been producing pieces inspired by military apparel and workwear.
Paying tribute to the rebel and cult iconography, the latest Neighborhood Incense Chamber follows in the same suit. The ‘Uzi’ machine gun rests on a box base which transforms the submachine gun into a high-gloss, metallic painted porcelain incense chamber – available in both gold and silver. The ‘Uzi’ maintained its popularity with rebels during the infamous Mexican and Miami drug wars. Now, Neighborhood have taken reference from the Drug Lords to create their latest inspired incense chamber, that for many, can be seen as a piece of functional art.

Fresh Tones from Armor Lux
It is that time of year again when the new season starts to arrive in store and we start thinking of layering up for the Autumn. Some might say a bleak thought whilst the sun is still making an appearance – however we all know this weather can be so unpredictable that tomorrow the enviable might happen (yes, rain).
One does need to be prepared for such occasions and how better than with fresh tones from Armor Lux? The 2297 Classic Long Sleeve T-shirt is a signature piece for everyone’s wardrobe. The 100% cotton has a weight good enough to wear on its own as the nights go cooler, and even underneath a jacket when it starts to get really cold. Made in France and finished with an authentic Breton Stripe, Armor Lux really does boast about being the best. Shop their signature pattern that still remains a core piece in the collection.
Tranquil Tones
No one wants to look like a Crayola Crayon do they? That might sound odd but wearing multiple garments from the same colour palette can often make one feel that way. We wanted to reveal how tonal dressing can look elegant, understated and achievable by following a few simple steps.
The most important rule to live by is to always wear the lightest colour closest to your body and the darkest outside and then basically layer and mix textures of the same shades and always remember to finish with flattering footwear.
Keep these simple steps in mind and you’ll get it right every time; maximising your wardrobe, re-imagining past season items with a striking, distinguished style. Tonal dressing is a great way to add depth to your outfit and you’ll soon appreciate there’s more than one shade of white and there’s alternatives to ‘all black everything’.
With the AW season just around the corner (sorry but it is), now more than ever is the time to start trialling some tonal, layered outfits. Via different hues, soft prints and texture clashes, wearing one colour head-to-toe can not look too matchy-matchy. Why don’t you try it?
