Statement Shirts

This season’s shirt selection is that good that it’s hard to know where to start. Wacky prints, silky fabrics and relaxed cuts from some of the best names in the business. Whether you go Universal Works or A.P.C. it’s about time you got involved. Here are some of our favourite statement shirts.

Within A.P.C.’s SS18 collection is the Cippi Shirt that is a slim-cut short sleeve shirt with an all-over, half-moon print. It is made from a nimble Italian cotton that is lightweight making it perfectly formed for the summertime.

The Ananas Shirt by mastermind shirt maker Portuguese Flannel involves a seasonal pineapple print that is 100% viscose, 100% ‘Made in Portugal’ and 100% tropical.

Universal Work’s Congo Stripe Road Shirt is straight out of the 50s, made from a textured cotton fabric with a mid-century inspired geometric weave. A boxy, slightly-cropped fit with a Cuban collar and a single chest pocket, it’s top drawer.

American shirt supremo Gitman Vintage take inspiration from two Japanese icons in producing the Fuji Crane Camp Shirt. This shirt has been made in its Pennsylvanian factory from a cotton poplin weave with a geographical pattern that features the Japanese red crane and a snow-covered Mount Fuji.
