adidas Originals x Neighborhood AW18
This September adidas Originals and Neighborhood collaborate on a capsule collection that features brand-new and exclusive graphics created by Los Angeles based figure, Cali Thornhill DeWitt. This AW18 collection is labelled as ‘a terrace survival guide’ with an accompanying lookbook shot in and around L.A. with the aforementioned Cali’ legend decked out in both the apparel and footwear. DeWitt utilises Neighborhood’s preferred ‘Old English’ type throughout the range with a new ‘target’ graphic the invokes ‘mod’ culture that evolved into terrace culture. To round things off the words ‘Survive’ and ‘Under Attack’ feature touching on the rebel spirit found on the football terraces.
Inspired by terrace style, classic sportswear and the nomadic motorcycling counterculture spirit this collection includes Neighborhood’s military influence featuring dusty earthy tones. To kick things off the footwear includes the newly-released Kamanda silhouette that will land in two very tonal colourways and a special-edition I-5923 and a Stan Smith Boost completing the trainer line-up. Apparel-wise the stand-out piece has to be the long M-65 field jacket that features a detachable Primaloft-padded liner vest. Alongside this military-spec coat is a line of hoodies, sweatshirts, track tops and track pants featuring embroidered signature graphics as well as long and short sleeved t-shirts with retro football strip styling.
The adidas Originals x Neighborhood AW18 capsule collection is online now.
