Karhu Fusion 2.0 ‘OG’ Ultramarine
The latest release from the Finnish footwear giant Karhu sees the Fusion 2.0 re-release in the original colourway, white and ultramarine green. Notable features that mirror the ’96 design include the printed lycra fabric at the tongue and around the ankle collar, shortened webbing tape at the side walls and red Karhu branding at the heel tab.
The trainers arrive in a presentation box alongside a limited-edition sports towel that has been made in collaboration with Finlayson. Finlayson is Finland’s leading homeware store and this one-off towel features the brand’s classic ‘Coronna’ print in the Fusion 2.0 ‘OG’ colours, a gift that’s included with every purchase.

New Brand: Wacko Maria
Established by two former J-League footballers, Wacko Maria started life as a Tokyo-based record store with an in-house cocktail bar. Keiji Ishzuka and Atsuhiko Mori made their first Wacko Maria lines in 2005 and the brand quickly became a popular name in Japan.
The duo take inspiration from American art, film and music as well as ‘friends, wine and women’. Everything this vibrant pairing create has a sense of glamour and romance offering a fresh take on the classic streetwear silhouettes.
With a care-free attitude, high-end fabrics and Japanese craftsmanship, Wacko Maria is a real contender. It is a new brand to The Hip Store for the SS18 season and the opening delivery includes accessories, t-shirts, sweats, jackets and shirts.

adidas Originals Continental 80
The adidas Originals ‘Yung Series’ continues with the re-release of the Continental 80 on the 20/06/18. This low-cut tennis silhouette is a like-for-like re-issue of the original version from back in the 80s.
Returning in the original colourway the Continental 80 features a soft French terry lining, a lightweight EVA midsole, supple leather uppers, perforated detailing, a diagonal two-tone stripe along the side panel and a Trefoil logo window below the lace panel on the side wall finishing things off nicely.
