A.P.C. Sneakers
The Parisian label A.P.C. is well-known for its unassuming, super-slick clothing and an equally impressive jewellery offering. After three years in the making the French label debut its running-style trainers including a ‘Techno’ and ‘Running’ sneaker.
Having previously collaborated on a number of classic Nike silhouettes and boasting a current luxury A.P.C. footwear offering including Derby shoes, Chelsea boots and tennis-style trainers the French label sure have what it takes to make quality footwear.

It’d be lazy to call the brand out, claiming it is jumping on the back of the ‘chunky sneaker’ craze. A trend that has seen high-end fashion brands jump in on the sneaker scene throughout 2017. A prime example is the Triple S Sneaker from Balenciaga that sells-out everywhere in minutes. These A.P.C. runners are quite the opposite; streamlined uppers, an exaggerated but free-flowing midsole and minimal branding.

Both styles feature quality fabrics including suede and canvas uppers, reflective panelling on the ‘Techno’ Sneaker and hiking-style laces across both styles. All three colours and both styles will go with everything and anything in your wardrobe regardless of the season. Clean, very European and in-line with the brand’s low-key, muted vibe.

Launching at The Hip Store on 12/04/18. Online at 08:00 and available at our Leeds store from 09:00.
Stepney Workers Club
East-London based Stepney Workers Club launch its debut footwear collection for the SS18 season. The brand take inspiration from the all-encompassing cultures found at traditional Workers Sports Clubs with its slogan ‘Freedom of Sport, Freedom of Thought’ and its handshake logo signifying unity, liberal thinking and inclusiveness.

Its first collection opens with two styles, the Dellow and Varden, a low-top and a high-top vulcanised pump. Both are available in canvas or suede in monochrome colours and pastel shades. This style of footwear has been adopted by varying sub-cultures over the years and the timeless aesthetic is still relevant in 2018.

Its founders have years and years of experience in the high-end footwear market and had a vision to create a product that wasn’t readily available. It is safe to say they have done a quality job; the premium fabrics, chunky soles, subtle branding and price points are spot on.
