The Re-Kanken by Fjallraven
Fjallraven has come through with an impressive, wide-ranging collection for the autumn season including different levels outwear, overshirts, knits, fleecewear, shirts and accessories. Included within the latest delivery is the Re-Kanken; an environmentally-friendly update to the most celebrated Fjallraven backpack.
The Re-Kanken takes the same shape and design as the regular Kanken only this special version is crafted entirely from recycled polyester from eleven plastic bottles. The colouring is fashioned via SpinDye technology; a process that drastically reduces the amount of water, energy and chemicals used.

The Kanken is a go-to backpack to so many people for lots of reasons. A large zip front opening leads to a main compartment where there’s loads of space for belongings including a laptop. Additional features comprise of two side pockets, two ergonomic and adjustable shoulder straps, a top handle and a small zipped front pocket. The Kanken is finished with a hidden seat pad that stows away neatly to the back of the inside compartment and instead of contrasting branding, this sustainable version of the Kanken is complete with tonal branding above the front pocket.

The highly-functioning, ship-shape, eco-friendly, Re-Kanken can be found online now. Use it, love it and wear it forever.
adidas SPEZIAL AW17 Drop 2
We welcome the 2nd drop of Gary Aspden’s adidas Spezial on Friday 6th October. The drop features another four shoes, following up from the six which launched on 22nd September.

The entire range was shot by photographer Nick Knight and modelled by Drum ‘n Bass producer and DJ “Goldie”, a guy who is one of the few people to have done a Boiler Room set and hold an MBE. But before he became known for his Jungle bass lines, Goldie was big in the graffiti scene during the 1980s and continues today to be keen activist for the art style. So inspired by the man himself, we’ll be giving away limited edition spray paint cans with adidas Spezial orders, instore and online. Please note, there is only a limited amount available, so will be given out on a first come, first served basis. Each one comes in a co-branded box and filled with metallic gold paint.

Here’s a closer look at the footwear from Drop 2…

Intack SPZL
A different colourway to the first drop, the Intack SPZL takes inspiration from the 70s and 80s Freizeit collection.

Lacombe SPZL
Similar to the SS16 drop, the French Riviera inspired piece is back once again – the design taken from the Newcombe, originally a tennis shoe

TRX SPZL
A true 70s runner, the TRX SPZL combines a suede and nylon upper for a true vintage feel true to the original design.

Super Tobacco SPZL
A super soft leather upper and minimal tonal design, with minor refinements from the original archive product.

Drop 2 launches online 00:01BST 6th October.
adidas SPEZIAL AW17 Drop 1
Driven by a desire to recreate iconic adidas silhouettes from a clean, contemporary perspective, adidas SPEZIAL returns for AW17. This time out the collection has been shot by illustrious British fashion photographer Nick Knight and features Goldie, the pioneering graffiti artist, break beat innovator and all round creative polymath.
The collection references unforgettable highlights from the brand’s history, reinventing classic silhouettes with premium materials, contemporary cuts and a progressive sartorial touch to create an adaptive, understated collection defined by the wearer’s individual style. This season, SPEZIAL once again takes inspiration from adidas’ enduring legacy in sport and leisure offering a carefully curated collection of apparel alongside an expansive range of footwear.
Familiar footwear silhouettes from the SS17 and SS16 collections re-appear for AW17; the GT Wensley SPZL and the Lacombe SPZL. In addition to this, the line-up features archive classics including the Super Tobacco SPZL, Intack SPZL, McMarten SPZL, Spiritus SPZL, TRX SPZL and Winterhill SPZL. The outstanding Super Tobacco model is presented in a SPZL makeup with a T-Toe overlay taken from the Bermuda. The Spiritus and Intack both return in SPZL treatments, reconstructed in premium materials and offered in bright colourways. The new casual-favourite McCarten SPZL launches in a Derby cut with black tooling for a true smart-casual aesthetic.
The apparel offering is a stellar update of original designs brought into the SPEZIAL oeuvre through material updates and contemporary branding details. The Abenstein Jacket reinvents the classic bomber silhouette taken from the Adidas archive featuring a reversible construction, ultrasonic welding and PRIMAloft insulation. The Ardwick Anorak translates a vintage workwear shape into a modern wardrobe staple, featuring a weather-ready ClimaStorm polyester composition, fleece-lined pockets and 3-stripes branding on the pocket flaps. The Ardwick Anorak has the same colour palette as the Ardwick SPZL shoe from very first SPEZIAL collection, green and charcoal grey. The final bit of outerwear is the lightweight and down-filled Kopelman Vest that’s designed to fit under any jacket as well as contemporary updates to the Beckenbauer. For AW17 the Lapkaus track suit makes its debut as well as a concise offering of graphic t-shirts inspired by archive adidas artwork.
The adidas SPEZIAL AW17 is launching online now.

Barbour x Wood Wood for AW17
Contemporary fashion and lifestyle brand Wood Wood are celebrating 15 years. Amongst the celebrations is a special capsule collection for AW17 with the global, British heritage label Barbour. In 2012, the two brands combined efforts in honour of Wood Wood celebrating 10 years; the finished product was solely a limited-edition Bedale jacket. This time around what’s on offer is a much more comprehensive collection featuring outerwear, t-shirts, corduroy pants and shirts.
The Copenhagen outfit and quintessentially British brand have created highly collectable pieces; the outerwear is so clearly Barbour only with a contemporary Wood Wood twist. The offering is playful and stylish whilst remaining highly functional, crafted to the high standards we have come to expect from both parties. This capsule collection blends modern and traditional design and the use of strong base colours and bright neon flashes is subtle but equally striking. The Wood Wood x Barbour collaboration is launching online and in-store on 23/09/17.
