adidas Originals by White Mountaineering AW17 Drop 2

Japanese brand White Mountaineering and adidas Originals combine forces once more for the AW17 season, delivering Drop 2. Included in this latest offering is a Boston Super, Seeulater Alledo Trail Runner and a collection of utilitarian-inspired, technical apparel.

This collection features the same neutral, understated, earth-based colour palette as Drop 1 back in July. Once more, throughout both the clothing and footwear are recognizable traits of Yousuke Aizawa’s flamboyant design work featuring collaborative branding.

Both the Boston Super and Seeulater have been fashioned with Primeknit construction for a luxury feel and upmost comfort with the same military colour scheme carried over from the clothing. The collection includes original clothing pieces  from the Adidas Archive all graced with a hint of White Mountaineering.

The collection blends Adidas’ archive aesthetic with high-end Japanese design perfectly, launching online and in-store on 09/09/17.

A.P.C. ‘HIVER 87’

Our opening AW17 delivery from French label A.P.C. includes essential pieces from its HIVER 87 capsule collection. A.P.C. is celebrating 30 years by digging into the archive and producing a limited edition run of clothing and accessories, all decorated with original graphics and branding.

During the early days A.P.C. product was branded with either HIVER 87 or ETE 87 meaning Winter 87 and Summer 87. However, the French brand dropped this concept and subsequently the easier and cleaner A.P.C. branding came to fruition. As always, its collection is full of luxe, low-key staples that’ll enhance your winter wardrobe.

New Balance 997 ‘Deconstructed’

Boston-based New Balance has come through with a fantastic offering just in time for autumn including two new ‘deconstructed’ 997s, two 998s and the newly launched 247 model in three colours.

This new deconstructed 997 offers a refined interpretation of a classic New Balance silhouette. This revered style features a neoprene inner lining with a sock-like entry system to the ankle for excellent all-round comfort. It’s more of a sophisticated, low profile shape than the regular 997 that can perhaps feel a bit too chunky on foot. This trainer is equipped with premium uppers and classic New Balance touches throughout including its signature REVlite technology to the sole. This ‘Made in USA’ trainer is finished with tonal laces, contrasting ‘N’ branding to the sides and a heel tab and tongue tab with embossed tonal branding including an American flag to the latter.

The new 247 style has turned into a bit of a New Balance gateway trainer; staying true to the New Balance vintage aesthetic but technical in specification. it’s been updated for AW17 in three very wearable, understated colours with premium suede uppers. The 247 is not even a year old yet but it’s surely got to be one of the best new styles around.

If you were to breakdown the New Balance line-up, the ‘Made in USA’ 998 sits at the top of the triangle. A beloved style due to the high-quality construction, fabrics and the nature of the layered mesh and suede uppers creates some striking colourways, just like the 998 CSU.
