Le Coq Sportif ‘Retro Affiches’
These Le coq sportif’s are now collector’s items in their own right. The Retro Affiches pack pays homage to French towns’ tourist posters from the ’70s and ’80s; each shoe referencing a different town’s poster. These shoes, made of premium nubuck, incorporate the colours of the poster that inspired them, which is reproduced on the tongue and on the shoe box. To accentuate the retro appeal, the sole features an aged effect.

adidas Spezial x Chronixx For SS17
Inspired by the rich sportswear heritage of adidas’ own archive, and its Global cultural impact, the adidas SPEZIAL collection has affirmed itself an important and integral part of the adidas Originals output over the course of the last two years. Its premium and carefully curated range of product is inspired by the brand’s past, and geared towards a modern, progressive perspective. At the core of the SPEZIAL range lies the idea of adoption and reinterpretation – to create solid products that are then left up to the individual’s interpretation in their styling.
For SS17 SPEZIAL collaborates with musician Chronixx and turns its attention to the parallels between British casual culture and Jamaican reggae culture. Two cultures which, at first glance, seem glaringly different but share a host of commonalities. Linked through a love of music, football and fashion, the two subcultures are paid tribute to in reinvented staples of modern menswear. Military inspired jackets, full tracksuits, knitted polos, iconic 3 stripe trainers and leisure shoes all play a part in nodding towards two distinct cultures, and highlighting our similarities rather than our differences.

Adidas Originals – Introducing the Iniki Runner
Taking inspiration from 1970s running culture, adidas Originals presents a brand new silhouette for 2017; the INIKI.
Drawn from the brand with the 3-stripes’ own rich heritage in athletic footwear, the Iniki model takes elements from iconic runner designs and blends them with a striking modern perspective to create a technically advanced silhouette with a classic, nostalgic touch. A panelled construction of two-way stretch mesh with vintage suede overlays, finished with a shiny-mesh tongue, pays homage to classic runner constructions, whilst printed serrated 3-stripes marks reimagine an essential component of adidas heritage.
The Iniki then offers total evolution, utilising a concealed sock-fit design, OrthoLite® sockliner and BOOST midsole unit for the best in contemporary fit and comfort. Subtle details such as copper-tipped laces and a gum rubber tooling completes the contemporary-classic design, creating an authentic unity of the old and new.
