adidas Spezial x Liam Gallagher LG2

The LG2 was first seen within the SS22 SPZL collection and is a continuation of the original Spezial LG from FW19. The model blends archival inspirations from adidas‘ rich history making squash and indoor shoes.
The shoe takes on a functional nylon upper in a ‘Cream White’ tone, subtly contrasted with ‘Off White’ suede overlays. The colourway is recognised by striking ‘Collegiate Green’ details at the flock 3-Stripes and heel, moving away from the white tones used in the first two LG SPZL releases and also celebrating the classic adidas Country shoes. The style’s tooling includes an EVA die-cut midsole, asymmetrical toe guard and a rubber outsole. Finally, bespoke branding is seen through the iconic “Endorsed by Liam Gallagher” tongue graphic and a classic mod Trefoil on the heel.
The adidas Spezial x Liam Gallagher LG2 is online now and available in both our Leeds & Manchester stores.

New To HIP: Meanforme

Born in Manchester, Meanforme‘s mission is to create beautifully classic footwear using time-honoured methods that emphasise the upmost quality. Connecting with a long-established Portuguese shoe factory with roots dating back to 1938, whilst sourcing fine leather from famous tanneries all across the world, Meanforme’s aesthetic is truly timeless.
To highlight the launch of Meanforme and the Risedale shoe, this season at HIP we visited the label’s factory to see its craftsmanship first-hand. The factory is located in Felgueiras, a small town in the North of Portugal near Porto with an impressive history in the footwear industry, well-regarded as one of the key hubs of shoemaking in Europe.

New To HIP: Lomer
Lomer’s origins date back to 1948, when Dionisio Merlo began making shoes in the Italian town of Montebelluna – a shoe capital in the Veneto region with ancient and deep roots in the trade. After several decades Lomer had established a reputation for fine craftmanship, and it was at this point that Dionisio retired and passed the legacy onto his sons. Over the years Lomer has kept its family-run values and commitment to local, made in Italy production. The label offers value, comfort and craft. Its designs mix style with function – durable products designed for the outdoors but equally as suited to functional urban wear.
The Pelso is an elegant style crafted in a rich suede upper neatly combined with functional aspects through a waterproof membrane and durable outsole.
