To highlight the launch of the latest YMC Women’s AW22 collection at HIP, we met up in Bradford with multi-disciplinary artist Pilfered.

British born brand YMC is a key part of our women’s contemporary offering – presenting a wide selection of elevated outerwear, sweatshirts, knits and more each season.

“What could be described pretentiously as ‘multi-disciplinary artist’ I’d prefer to refer to myself simply as ‘jack of all trades’. This year that has meant sign painting, illustration, public art projects and a number of books, including one close to my heart, on Bradford’s disappearing Ghost Signs.”

“One common thread throughout all of the work is perhaps a drop of nostalgia and a dash of adult existential crisis. Alongside this I also organise the ‘Mek Summat’ art events, which celebrate our wondrous local creative community, all in the crushed velvet confines of the Caroline Street Social Club, Saltaire.”
