To highlight Carhartt WIP’s SS23 Women’s collection – this season at HIP we visited Leeds based circular use focused Seagulls Paint.

Raising awareness for recycling and reuse, Cat and Kate, who founded the business in 2002, aim to improve the environment through recycling landfill for the benefit of the Leeds community.

Within their community enterprise they also educate people in teaching the importance of reusing and recycling unwanted household materials through volunteering opportunities.

They have now acquired a national reputation as the leading Social Enterprise in paint reuse, winning the Social Enterprise of the Year (Yorkshire and Humber) in 2017 and 2022. So far, the team has diverted 4 million litres of paint from landfill.
