Garrett Leight

Born in Venice Beach, California – Garrett Leight was created in 2010 and is fuelled by the drive of making the best eyewear available. Inspired by the people, places and culture of California, the label captures its style and easy-going philosophy with every product. As a reminder of its Los Angeles heritage, each pair of sunglasses is stamped with VC/CA 90291 as a final detail. At its studio in downtown L.A, Garrett Leight’s team focus on creating timeless designs and sourcing the most exclusive high quality materials from the best suppliers in the industry. The label presents classic shapes redefined through modern touches – making its collection one of the most tasteful offerings in the current market.

Sun Buddies

Sun Buddies is a forward-thinking premium sunglasses line under the umbrella of Swedish retailer and brand Très Bien. The original Sun Buddies frame was shaped by the iconic sunglasses worn by actress Bibi Andersson in Swedish director Ingmar Bergman’s 1966 film, Persona. The sartorial atmosphere and vivid imagery Bergman’s cinematography created inspires Sun Buddies own unique visual language. With a quirky name that refers to its collaborations with other creatives, and pop culture underpinning its aesthetic, Sun Buddies is the epitome of contemporary eyewear style. Expect to see interesting shapes, creative imagery and fascinating collabs with the likes of Carhartt WIP, Our Legacy Work Shop and Stüssy.

Monokel Eyewear

Monokel Eyewear is a unisex sunglass label based in Stockholm. The brand captures the expressive personal styles and youthful spirit inherent within its unisex audience. Using a range of photography styles, Monokel reveals an eclectic mix of inspirations including nature and architecture – emphasising creative freedom at every turn. The label’s “endless curiosity for the human mind and its need for creative expression” is combined with classic Scandinavian functionalism. Monokel uses a plant-based acetate for its frames, with each one handcrafted with intricacy and attention to detail in a process taking over three months.

Flatlist Eyewear

Another eyewear label that oozes contemporary style is Flatlist Eyewear. Originating in Copenhagen, Denmark, Flatlist’s collection is modern and experimental, yet still timeless. It uses premium materials and expert craftsmanship to present a variety of designs: refined classics, subtle everyday models and expressive statements. Catering to any identity or style, each design is born out of both artistic taste and everyday inspirations – a character from a film, a special area of a favourite city or an evening in delightful company. With growing popularity amongst fashion and cultural circles across the world, Flatlist Eyewear represents one of the most exciting contributions to the contemporary eyewear market.

Brain Dead

Founded in 2014 and led by Kyle Ng and Ed Davis – Brain Dead is a global art and design collective based in Los Angeles. Deeply inspired and embedded in the world of post punk, DIY culture, underground comics and skateboarding – Brain Dead offers a mix of unisex clothing, accessories, and lifestyle goods to create an immersive world filled with disruptive graphics, all over prints and progressive silhouettes. A key part of its collection are sunglasses, which are equally as experimental – presenting unconventional shapes and bold colours.
