The YEEZY QNTM ‘Barium’ features an upper composed of a jacquard underlay combined with an RPU cage that wraps the upper for structure and durability while offering a unique look and feel. The synthetic suede toe overlay offers toe protection and durability. Reflective material throughout the jacquard quarter panel and heel counter emits light in darkness. The YZY QNTM elevates the cushioning experience with a re-engineered full-length drop-in Boost midsole – a semi-translucent clear TPU cage wraps the Boost while the herringbone patterned rubber outsole offers optimal traction.

Continuing the momentum from their recent Spring collection and trailblazing collaborations with Gramicci and Nike, godfathers of streetwear Stüssy present the first drop of their Summer ’20 collection.

Offering a wide variety of wearable Summer staple silhouettes and accessories, the collection dials in on vintage inspired styles such as chore jackets and polos with unique washes alongside staple OG Stüssy styles such as sweatshirts, t-shirts and caps with fresh tones for the Summer ahead.

Sure to be favourite pieces in the collection include the Heavy Wash Chore Jacket and the Tivoli Stripe Polo Shirt, which both show Stüssy’s modern interpretation of vintage looks from past eras combined with low-key branding and seasonal hues.

For SS20 we are excited to add Japanese outdoors wear label and Wander to our brand roster. Founded in 2011 by Issey Miyake alumni Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori. and Wander sets out to create outdoors wear that stands up to every element within both urban and outdoors environments. The word “wander”, which means “to roam aimlessly” helps Keita and Miohoka express their brand ethos which encourages people to go outdoors more casually, opposed to hard mountain climbs aiming for high peaks. Instead of creating new seasons from scratch each time, and Wander works to improve current styles with slight tweaks to better performance and build upon silhouettes.

Upon arrival of our delivery for this SS20 season, we spoke to co-founder Keita Ikeuchi to find out more.

You both originally worked at Issey Miyake before launching AndWander, did this make the transition easier taking the leap into starting your own label?

We learnt process of creation in Issey Miyake. There is the gap between mood fashion and outdoor fashion. However, once we learn basics, we can begin to apply new creation.. there are many things in common based on what we have learnt.

AndWander was created due you going on a camping trip and not seeing any Japanese outdoors clothing you wanted to spend your own money on at the time, could you explain what the current market was like then

Outdoor wear continues evolving. However, there are still small number of labels, who have originality and well-motivated for new creation.

Can you explain how AndWander is able to combine fashion and outdoors function wear and balance perfectly in-between both?

Not only design team and pattern cutter team, but fabric suppliers and factories are also involved our creation.

How has the growth of the brand been like since 2011? Did you see more growth in Japan first our overseas?

Since we launched and Wander, we have been growing in both Japanese market and international market include Europe, North America, and Asia. We are very much proud of this.

Love for the outdoors is something both the UK and Japan have in common, could you explain what the outdoors hobby scene is like in Japan and what activities do people enjoy

We can enjoy touching nature’s variety in each region. We enjoy camping, Hiking, trail running, bouldering, fishing, and kayaking.

Where do see the future of outdoors wear going onwards from 2020 and are there any new technologies coming into play
?

We can’t forecast the future, but we expect dramatic progress will be occurred  as we have seen in the past.

Do you have any personal favourite items from our SS20 Hip Store selection and how would you style/ use them utility wise whilst spending time in the outdoors?

The Weave Windy Pullover and the Pertex Wind Pullover – both these jackets will help your outdoor experience. These are excellent in windproof, water repellency and durability.

We are proud of launching a collaboration sneaker with Salomon. Special reflector material is used in the upper based on original Salomon XA AMPHIB BOLD.  This sneaker is wearable in various summer activities including the water scene.

If you had to explain AndWander in 3 words for someone new to the brand, what would you say?

Be always with nature. Essence of fashion. Passion for progress.

Gary Aspden’s coveted adidas Originals Spezial imprint returns with a new long awaited line up of footwear and apparel for the SS20 season. Featuring a wide variety of silhouettes taking reference from the adidas Originals archives, the collection draws inspiration from the look and history of the British Soul scenes. Closely observing the Northern Soul phenomenon of the 1970s through the early House/Jazz Fusion of the 80s through Acid Jazz in the 90s, the imprint and legacy of each era is seen within the latest Spezial release blended with adidas’ rich heritage in sportswear with modern technology, tooling and fabrics.

Apparel within the collection covers all bases with the terrace classic Standish Anorak, boxy-fit rain proof Holbeck Jacket, Newsam Long Sleeve Polo, two new graphic T-shirts styles and the Heswall shorts –  all featuring adidas Spezial branding. The Pleckgate Tracksuit, the standout piece of the apparel collection, is based on the fit of the Forest Gate tracksuit – a Spezial classic from back in 2017.

The footwear offering for SS20 consists of four styles – The Ashurst SPZL – based on the adidas Sydney from the City Running Series, The Lotherton SPZL which takes from the much loved Ardwick SPZL, easy-to-wear Training 76 SPZL and the Zurro SPZL, with an upper pattern based on the vintage adidas Azzurro married up with the striped midsole of an ultra rare version of the adidas Montreal 76.

adidas SPEZIAL SS20 is rounded off by a range of accessories that further highlights the collection’s Soul influence. The fan favourite SPEZIAL towel and Mod Trefoil socks return in new iterations, and are accompanied by the Summer appropriate Meanwood bucket hat which further nods toward the collections homage to Northen Soul culture.

Originally released in 1984, the Frankfurt draws design cues from the ever popular Hamburg with the same “Bluebird” luxe suede upper alongside it’s own unique velcro closure and metallic finish to the side stripes and heel. Rounded off with a vintage feel white sole unit resembling those seen on many of adidas handball silhouettes, the Frankfurt also has the signature “City Series” silver foil branding on its side wall.

Following on from opening up the year collaborating with the likes of both Carhartt WIP and Reebok, Angelo Baque’s Awake NY present their new collection for Spring Summer ’20.

Staying true to the brands eclectic style and vibrancy, new stand-out silhouettes are introduced such as the mohair cardigan and corduroy varisty jacket alongside tweaked staples like the classic logo sweatshirt and tee arriving in a plethora of colourways.

Alongside the staple classic logo graphic, Awake continues to make their voice and stance heard politically with a Nelson Mandela portrait tee and slogan led graphics such as “in God we trust, in the President we don’t” and “civilizing the uncivilized”.

Keeping things local to their New York roots, Awake has also created a mini capsule collection which is included within the delivery – featuring original artwork from NY based artist Sam Friedman adorned on both a silk short sleeved shirt and 5-panel cap.
