Wood Wood SS21 Collection At HIP

Wood Wood SS21 Collection At HIP striped sweater

Wood Wood SS21 sees the Copenhagen based label expand upon their classic Scandinavian aesthetic, this time drawing inspiration from the Danish capital city’s history of vibrant and creative districts, in particular the area of Norrebrø in the 70s and 80s. Wood Wood introduces a wave of 70s inspired colour palettes across a fine selection of sweaters, summer ready shirts and more.

Standout pieces for us at HIP in the collection include the John Stripe Sweater and the Brandon Graphic Shirt, which both encapsulate what Wood Wood do best creatively in different ways. Made using a brushed alpaca blend, the John Stripe Sweater blends refined shades of soft greens and orange hues, to subdued browns and striking black stripes. The yarns used are feather light and with surprisingly warm featuristics, make it suitable for light layering and transitional seasons. A perfect piece for the long Summer ahead of us, the Brandon Graphic Shirt features an exclusive potato print pattern for S/S 2021 designed by Wood Wood co-founder Brian SS Jensen, printed on a dense 100% cotton twill that has undergone a delicate washing process resulting in a broken-in, relaxed vintage appearance. To compliment, the fabric has a soft yet firm structure with a weight to match, ideal for hot summer days that turn into cooler crisp evenings.
