adidas Originals “City Series” Moss Side
adidas Originals explores its rich archives to reinvent the classic 1979 TRX runner, first introduced in Japan. The new silhouette is transformed using eco-friendly materials and celebrates Manchester’s historic connection to the three stripes and terrace culture through referencing the inner city area of Moss Side.
The sneaker is clean-cut, adopting a vintage, terrace-focused aesthetic. It is accentuated with a serrated three stripes and gold foil font paying homage to Moss Side. Up to 50% of the shoe’s upper is made from recycled materials, with its mesh, lining and suede overlays all crafted from recycled polyester. Other key features include organic cotton laces and hemp sockliners, reinforcing adidas Originals’ commitment to sustainability. Part of the label’s acclaimed city series, the Moss Side arrives in an earthly dust green and sand colourway.

Nike Dunk Low Retro ‘Platinum Grey’
A firm favourite from 1980s Basketball history – Nike returns for 2022 with a plethora of colourways for the ever-popular Dunk silhouette in both high and low iterations. This Dunk Low features a premium leather upper with a clean, tonal two-toned colour blocked design throughout – all finished with a court focused rubber outsole and heritage inspired tongue.

To showcase the latest Barbour White Label SS22 collection at HIP, we took to the roads to highlight the new offering on a long, winding road car journey through Yorkshire.

10 Minutes With Aaron Bondaroff Of 4WD
4WD is the newly launched project from downtown New York legend Aaron Bondaroff – a pivotal figure in the rise of streetwear brand aNYthing and online community movement Know Wave. Acting as a celebration of only doing things that are ‘worth doing’ – 4WD is a multi-platform venture spanning exhibitions, collaborations, apparel, print and more. 4WD connects the creative mindset of downtown culture with the world and believes in moving forward, towards things for worth doing.
In conjunction with our first collection from 4WD at HIP, we caught up with Aaron direct from Miami and pitched him a variety of questions on starting 4WD, studio life and pre-internet New York. In response, Aaron flipped the piece on it’s head and responded in a true creative manner, gifting us at HIP our own series of 4WD’s already iconic post-it note messaging imagery, representing a snapshot inside the mind of the 4WD studio and process.
